<p>I love it when apartments advertise “spaces going fast, reserve your space now” – the fact that they advertise that means they’re desperate. Unfortunately I don’t know how to exploit this desperation effectively.</p>
<p>You can either show them a similar offer that is less or you can simply tell them “I don’t want to pay that much, how about X” X should be lower than what you’re actually willing to pay so that you can work up from that. Alternatively try to negotiate other things e.g. free parking or utilities or gym membership depending on what kind of setup the building has.</p>
