<p>My S, a freshman, just told us that the group of suite mates he had lined up for next year has fallen apart because two of the guys are being required to live in the frat houses. The third kid in the foursome decided to accept a room in an off-campus apartment, which leaves S still looking on his own. </p>
<p>Anyone have any idea what his best options are at this point? Is there a place where groups looking for one more suite roommate post what they’re looking for? Can he request on-campus housing as a single and if so, would he be placed in dorms with mostly other sophs? He has a middle-of-the-road lottery number for on-campus housing but I don’t even know if the deadline for requests has passed. </p>
<p>S has simply said, “Don’t worry. I’ll handle it.” But I’d really like to know what the options are. Any thoughts/advice?</p>
