<p>Hi, I’m in Simkins…enough said…</p>

<p>I signed up for the waitlisting…</p>

<p>do students get their options after waitlisting?</p>

<p>is Simkins really that bad? It can’t be worst than Jester</p>

<p>Jester is actually better. Simkins is all male. enough said. lol</p>

<p>Oh I see lol. well at least he wouldn’t have to deal with the cat urine smell…I think</p>

<p>I stayed at Jester during orientation and I didn’t notice the urine smell.</p>

<p>I was on the 2nd floor and our whole wing noticed it. That was just this week too. They even made a joke about it at the Bevo Show</p>

<p>I’ve been in Jester in the lobby, 5th, and 9th floors and I never smelled anything.</p>

<p>yeah i went through the second floor at orientation…</p>

<p>did smell like urine, and they did make fun of it at the show…</p>

<p>yeah vstexas i got put in simkins too… i think the only choice is do a waitlist and go off to find an off campus drom…</p>

<p>Just out of curiosity, why did you put Simkins on your list? Mine went Prather/Roberts/MooreHill/Brackenridge/Jester. That way, there was no way that I would get put in Simkins, and Jester was still unlikely. </p>

<p>(For reference, I got my first choice of Prather.)</p>

<p>I have a question…if we don’t get placed where we want to after waitlisting…do they refund our money if we cancel the housing contract?</p>

<p>Also simkins wasn’t my choice I had brackenridge, honors, prather, Moore hill, Roberts</p>

<p>Is it too late to register at dobie and the castillian?</p>

<p>yea i am in the exact position as u i am wondering the same… but i think they will take 200 for canceling the contract</p>

<p>yeah they take $300 as a cancellation fee before August 1st but most of the off campus dorms refund you some of that back in savings on fees or gift cards. In the end, you don’t really lose any money. if youdidn’t get the choice on campus that you wanted, you shouldn’t hold your breath for a good waitlist. a LOT of people out there are on the waitlist probably.</p>

<p>Freshmen: live at University Towers or Dobie</p>

<p>Sophomores: Live at a student living facility in west campus</p>

<p>Juniors/Seniors: Apt on west campus/house/or anything a little farther out if you want</p>

<p>lots of people on this board on the waitlist – you should consider off-campus options before they are all gone too!</p>
