When is the deadline for housing? At every other school I applied to the deadline was April 1st. I’m not trying to end up in supplemental housing…
bump
@5melissa1234, After you submit your tuition deposit, Panther Central (the department that handles housing) will send you a housing packet with your contract, etc. On your contract there will be a deadline printed and you will have to meet that deadline. You have some time, though. Panther Central will do their mass housing allocation in June.

@hailtopitt1787 - I have couple of questions about honors room for freshmen
- Is the housing cost same for honors room?
- Is the honors rooms are guaranteed for honor students? or any selection criteria?
@Harrisburg, I would encourage you to double check the cost with Panther Central (the office that handles housing): 412-684-1100 or the Honors College: 412-624-8633.
As for the application/selection process for the Honors LLC, there is extensive information on all of that on the Honors College site! http://www.honorscollege.pitt.edu/fyhc-application

When you do your housing application you have to put housing choices in order of preference I believe. Also in Sutherland honors housing LLC there are I think 4, 6 and 8 person suites. The prices range from $3,300 to $3,600 per semester as far as I know. The contract is for the whole year though.
Honors housing is not guaranteed, you have to apply. Freshman housing generally should be guaranteed if you pay tuition deposit and housing deposit before deadline.
@Harrisburg Honors housing indeed is not guaranteed. If you don’t get into honors housing, you will get placed in a dorm. There is an application that involves writing a couple of short essays and maybe filling out a couple of things to get into honors housing, but in general, you can probably re-use an essay you’ve written for something else. A vast majority of people that apply for honors housing get in, so if you generally write well and are honors eligible, don’t fret too much about it.
So Pitt doesn’t so “supplemental housing” like other schools? (ie. 4+ people to a room)
@5melissa1234, All of the housing options at Pitt are listed on the Panther Central website: https://www.pc.pitt.edu/housing/options.php
Most freshman residence halls have primarily doubles and triples.

@hailtopitt1787 are there any LLCs located in Nordenberg Hall?
