Also what are my chances of recieving University merit scholarships and what about need based aid with an EFC of 7000 - 8000
I’m an out of state student, because I dont want to attend UNLV or UNR for obvious reasons.

wow those are some impressive stats but it really is hard to say, since nothing is final and you are from out of state …

but if i had to bet 20 dollars on it i would say yes!!!

just to be sure, you are aware that as an out-of-state student the cost will be $45,000 per year on-campus or $43,000 off-campus?

UCSB is a great school, but for that kind of money you could pay for just about any college in the country. Also at the UCs financial aid is tight; they don’t even guarantee to meet the need of CA residents, and out-of-state its going to be largely loans.
