<p>Asian female…been here around 4 years</p>

<p>9 th grade GPA: 3.86 (school used letter grades)
10th grade GPA: 96.6
11th grade GPA: 94.8</p>

CR—450…(thinking about taking TOEFL to make up my sucky CR grade)

<p>(Will spend the whole summer studying SAT and taking it again in October, 1700 should be no problem, aiming for 1800)</p>

<p>Everything else looks great, but you definately have to bring up that SAT. I would take the TOEFL if I were you.</p>

<p>IMO, your SAT is on the low side. Try taking the ACT, you might do better since it’s scored differently. Good luck!</p>

<p>I agree, your SAT’s are going to hold you back. If you don’t get the guaranteed pharmacy school admission, be sure to do exceedingly well on your PCAT exam.</p>

<p>yeah I bombed the math. If I try I should get at least a 650 no problem, and the cr part I just cant’ do it. but I will study over the summer for both SAT and ACT, hopefully they’ll go up! do they care about the writing section at all???</p>

<p>Call the pharmacy school and ask…I don’t think they have considered the CR part up until now.</p>

<p>Maybe you need to improve your test taking skills. If you can’t do well on the SAT, ACT, etc, maybe you need more preparation for the PCAT.</p>

<p>No, the PCAT is the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (sort of like the MCAT or the GMAT), and at the end you take your State Board Exams to get your license to practice. If you get the guaranteed admission thing when you apply to Pitt out of high school, I am pretty sure you don’t have to take the PCAT if you maintain a certain gpa in your two pre-professional years.</p>

<p>… but like loslobos said, unless you greatly improve your SATs, you really don’t have much of a shot at getting into main campus, regardless of your major.</p>

<p>I think you can just declare your major as pre-pharmacy, take the PCAT and apply after two years of classes.</p>

<p>achang, i was accepted into the pitt pharm program on the 10/17 (sent my app 10/12).</p>

<p>your sats are really really low, but your gpa is okay. you can always apply to a branch campus like bradford or something… they also have a pharm program where it will be easier to be accepted. good luck!</p>

sats: 1220/1870 (only took them once; honnestly, i was surprised i was admitted that quickly with my sat scores)
gpa: 4.6
OOS, top NJ high school
top 20 out of 300
11 IB/AP courses; 7 Honors
IB diplomma candidate
great EC’s and essay
strong recommendations </p>

<p>i think the my course load really did me a favor because pitt supposedly weighs a lot of the admissions factor on the rigor of the applicant’s hs courses and gpa</p>

in the letter/email they sent u, do they tell you specifically if u’re accepted for the 2+4 or the 0+6??? and do they tell you how much scholarship u get?</p>

<p>I sent my app in august during an open house visit, but haven’t heard anything back yet, I guess they’re waiting for my october SAT. 2 more days, I hope I did well.</p>
