So, I’ve been scrolling through our schools facebook college decisions page, and I see complete morons getting into great schools. I’m not talking about the people that just lack basic common sense – I’m taking about student who didn’t care to give half a shizz for academics. Like one girl was in my AP chem class, and we were put in the same group and she didnt know how to do jack shizz. I see today that she got accepted into USC. AND, she doesnt even have an amazing story or anything… she’s korean and the korean community in my city is REALLY strong. they rent out a ton of schools on the weekends for “korean school” which is fake, cause i walked into it once and I saw like 15 year olds playing soccer and basketball for like half the time… HOW IS THAT KOREAN “SCHOOL”. literally all the korean kids’ parents set them up to volunteer at this “school” and they abuse the SHIZZ out of it. they make up sooo much baloney in their essays saying things like they helped foreign immigrants accustom themselves to the American culture on weekends and all these other phoney acts of philanthropy.
Anyway, is anyone else noticing a trend where more and more people are going through some sort of loophole in the system and getting into top colleges without actaully trying?
