how are my chance

first off i just realized i said how are my chance, so yay for grammar and my poor spelling.

well i know you all have answered about 5,000 of these but i figure it can’t hurt for me to ask so here it is. and do A-'s count as like a 3.75 or something?

I would be applying to the college of arts and sciences

I am a caucasion junior from PA.

My GPA is 4.79 weighted out of 5
I’ve always gotten all A’s its just i didn’t take all honors freshman year.
Currently i’m ranked 14th out of 812 students at my school. Its one of the best public schools in the area, but thats not saying so much

My SAT was 2180
770 Math
710 Reading
700 Writing

My Senior Classes Are
AP German 5
AP Calc AB
AP Gov’t
AP Economics
Honors Physics (they dont offer AP)
AP English

i have a job at the local zoo (haha yeah i know thats random)
I ran varsity cross country and i did varsity wrestling but i am not particularly great in either sport.

and this summer i am volunteering with the Miracle league, its a baseball league for children with special needs.

and thats me in a nutshell, please be honest in your responses thanks a bunch!

I dont know…CAS is tough from what i’ve heard. You have a shot.

You definitely have a CHANCE, but it’s just hard to tell. Knowing your intended major would help alot, unless u said that and I missed it.

i’m thinking that i will major in chemistry or biochem, even though i haven’t taken AP chem or bio which i know will hurt me, but i’m told that like i NEED to take physics next year or colleges will hate me ha

The best advice I can give you is to somehow make it more apparent in your application that that is your “passion” (I know we’re all tired of hearing that word) so that you seem to have more focus and coherence and you’re not just doing things to please people, although I am in no way suggesting that is what you are doing now. It is merely a suggestion and just something to think about.

yeah i understand, just get stuff to show that i really love chem or science in general. Thanks for your advice!

Just so you know, all I ever took was a chem/physics combo class, so I never even had a full year of physics, and I got accepted to CAS.

that is definetly encouraging, what SATII’s did you take cooledge and how well did you do on them? if you dont mind me asking

Literature: 720
Math II: 800
Chemistry: 760

alright thanks a lot, i figure i should be able to get around 780 or so in world history, 720 in chem, and well in Math I, do you think that will cut it or should i take math II next fall?

Judging by the math you’re taking you should definitely take the math II, unless you’ve looked through them both and you for some reason are sure u should take the I

yeah when i signed up i thought there was calc on math II so i took math I and i might look into math II next year, or can i still change? the test is saturday

you can change whenever you want between any sat 2’s up until the time you take the test.

definitely do math2 i’m pretty sure i got at least one wrong and i stil got an 800, the curve is really easy.

there’s no calc on it. There’s sometimes one or two limits, but they are very simple because you can cancel the factors and substitute. math2 is really just interpreting functions. its the collegeboard’s twist on precalculus.

hello,i m Vandit from Kolkata,India…Currently,I am in class XII or u could say,a high school senior…I am ranked 1st out of 245 students in my school and am the School President…i hav a lot of extra-curricular activities under my belt,m quiz, debate n athletics captain as wel as the guitarist of a professional band…scored 2320 in sat-1…cud u pls lemme know of my chances of gettin into Wharton fr a BS in Econ.?

@ indian dude: 0% Chance, CAS offers econ not wharton and don’t spam ur chances in other people’s threads

You seem to have a reasonable chance, Only rthing is that your ec’s seems to lack any sort of focus

Vandit any business ec’s?

I think if you have really exceptional essays then you definitely have a pretty high chance of getting in
