How are my chances at USC?

Hello,
I am a rising senior this year and will most likely apply to USC.

UW GPA: 3.71
W GPA: 4.1
ACT: Composite: (29) E: 33 M: 30 R: 25 S: 28
AP: Physics B: (3) Statistics: (4) Psychology [Self-studied]: (4)
Class Rank: 56/773 (Top 8%)

Senior Year Course Load:
AP Chemistry
AP Calculus BC
AP Government
Expository Reading/Writing

EC:
Marching Band: 9, 10, 11 (This took up more time than you think)
Wind Ensemble: 9, 10
Psychology Club: 11
Self Studied AP Psychology: 11
ASB: 12

How good or bad are my chances? I am retaking the ACT next month to hopefully get 30+. Am I at least an average applicant?

Class of 2015 admits statistics were -
Avg GPA: 3.80
Middle 50% SAT: 2020-2240
Middle 50% SAT: 30-34

You’re slightly below the average stats for 2011-2012 as shown above. Note that for this year’s freshman class (2012-2013), the overall acceptance rate dropped from 22.7% to around 18% and thus the average stats are likely even higher.

You should be definitely be shooting for 30+ on the ACT and great grades for this semester. Also, start planning on what you will write your personal statement about. What are you passionate about? What extracurriculars were meaningful to you and what did you learn from them? Etc.
