Thanks for anyone who helps me out with this. How are these ECs for schools like Dartmouth and other Ivies?
Golf (Varsity golf junior & senior year) - 4 years
Marching Band - 4 years
Honors Band - 3 years, ‘Concert Band’ for my freshman year
Jazz Band (4 years)
Local College Symphonic Band (3 years)
ILMEA District (hopefully/possibly state) Oboist (junior & senior year)
Model UN (hopefully with some awards by the end of high school) 4 years
UNICEF (hopefully president/vice president) 3 years
NHS (hopefully a strong leadership position) 2 years
I also want to volunteer for Rand Paul’s campaign in 2020 if he runs, and if not then another conservative nominee.
I am also considering being a freshman mentor at my school my junior and senior year, but don’t know if it will really benefit my application. It is a huge time sink because you help guide a group of freshman with lessons every day after school and it gives lots of service hours, but like I said it’s a huge time sink so I don’t know if it will be worth it.
How are these ECs? What can be added or improved upon? I am a current Sophomore by the way.
