Hi, I’m currently a junior and I really want to go to Rice University. Other schools I would also like to get into are WashU, USC, Northwestern, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Duke. Based on just my grades and course rigor would I have a shot at those schools. I’m worried because I know I have a handful of B’s. I’m hoping that my course rigor will slightly make up for this. Looking at all my courses and grades, would I have a shot at getting in or would it be really difficult for me to get in? I know it’s difficult to tell without knowing my scores and extracurriculars. What I’m wondering is what an admissions counselor at those schools would view my grades and course load.
