<p>don’t blame asian chicks on the berkeley ugly girls situation, man. i think it is the white chicks that drop the ball. i dont think berkeley’s asian chicks are much uglier than ucla’s asian chicks (given the percentage of asians is the same), but white chicks here are just not comparable to ucla’s.</p>
<p>while, there ARE a lot of uglier girls at berkeley, it doesn’t mean it is hopeless to find girlfriend-material girls. while, there probably aren’t that many living goddess walking around campus, many of them are decent looking, intelligent, and nice. </p>
<p>i dont think it is a good idea to judge a school based on how many pretty girls on campus. while, it is nice to visit schools like ucsb, asu to satisfty needs for eye candy, but i cant ever imagine going to these schools. yes, it is necessary to have a life outside of school, but partying all nights and staring at hot girls all day isn’t going to get you anywhere either. if you think going to college is getting drunk all day and sleep with random people, dont come to berkeley (although it is doable, just not the best place to do that). but if you want to get a good education while have a great time doing it. berkeley is not a bad place.</p>
<p>I love how people think it’s superficial to talk about peoples looks. Obviously you must be “shallow” if you talk about who’s good looking and who isn’t. And it’s not a case of not having a gf, or being a virgin, it’s a case of Berkeley not having as attractive girls as other schools. Is that really your best argument? “You must not have a gf, you must be a virgin…or else you could get a girl” Grow the **** up woman. It’s not used as a tool of ligitimation, it’s used because nobody wants to **** some ugly chick? The only people that say these threads are superficial are the exact some people who constitute the people on campus who are ugly. God forbid the Berkeley campus be seen as unattractive. Instead of admitting this, you try to make yourself feel better by insisting that it’s shallow, or simply not true. Face it, Berkeley is a great school, but nontheless a school where the women are below average. **************, a site with reviews from Berkeley students, gives it a C. Nuff said. To clear one thing up, I don’t think you guys are shallow, I think that you’re scared of rejection so you pretend that the vast majority of the 15,000 women on campus are too ugly for you. That way its not your fault when you can’t hook up. It’s just that you’re standards are just too darn high. Just for fun, go to a party that some of the star football players are at. They seem to be doing pretty well in the ladies department. But I guess their standards are just too low. I believe there are, but the majority of them are not hot…and if you think the girls at the football teams parties consist of the majority then you are sadly mistaken. I’m scared of rejection? Please. I dont say “wow, the girls are ugly, that’s y i cant hook up” I say “wow, the girls are ugly, I dont want to hook up.” </p>

I think that most of the Berkeley student population would admit (as is shown on cp.com) that Berkeley women rank below average. <p>Lax, you’re lucky there’s a back door into Berkeley because as impressive as your 1240 SATs with 4 classes under a B and no AP’s are, I don’t they they would’ve got you into UC Davis, let alone Berkeley. You do realize that there’s a search engine on this site, right?</p>

<p>Statistically, the girls at cal fall into the same normal distribution of looks as the outside world. Out in the world you don’t see super gorgeous or super hideous people, because they consist about 15% on both ends of the normal distribution curve. Meanwhile, about 68% of the people fall around the mean average looking part given the assumption that the standard deviation is not terribly high (continuum of looks doesn’t vary by much in my observations). Honestly what you’re going to get is the same as what the outside world offers. Well maybe the distribution is somewhat right skewed, but again the point is that there is an insignificant statistical difference between looks at cal and the rest of the world.</p>
<p>Guy, just give it up. Why would I be impressed with those army schools. I’m not looking to be a general, so they mean nothing to me. The fact is that there’s no way you would’ve got into berkeley (or UC Davis) with your stats so my point stands.</p>
