Title pretty much says it all. Do you feel any negative effects on your education because of the economic condition California is in?

Would you recommend not coming to Berkeley because of it? Or is the whole thing overplayed?

thank you.

cutbacks enhance the berkeley education…it’s fun to walk out of anthro lecture and see the UC protesters.

but honestly, the cutbacks so far have just meant fewer services offered. the faculty are just as good. it just means that you can’t pull an all-nighter in the library…but if you’re considering engineering, you can work just as well in a cafe or dorm or home/apartment. if you were humanities/social science and need to check out books for a paper, tough luck. get those books out earlier.

By the way, I’d recommend looking up the difference between “affect” and “effect”. This is a common mistake, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it shows up in SAT tests. It should be
“How are the UC cutbacks Affecting your education?” and “Do you feel any negative Effects on your education?”
