I got a CR 560, M 610, and Writing 570
I HATE standardized tests like this…
I just want to know realistically how bad this score is, I plan on doing something graphic design related for college, not rocket science (funny, my older brother is actually doing some of that) , so how will this affect my chances of getting into a graphics design program of a sort?

that isnt a bad score, you only see the top scores on here, national average is a 1500…i wouldn’t worry too much, its not like you need to do a graphic design course at an ivy! You could do a course at Emerson (my friend got in with a similar score) or another liberal arts college.

it all depends which college you want to go to for your graphics design program.

I got a 1760 and it was all good…the only school that didnt like me was my state flagship U, haha

There are thousands of colleges. They can’t ALL accept only the top 10% of students. However, just as you’re somewhat likely to find someone interested in graphic design in an art club, you’re also quite likely to find people aiming for top colleges on CollegeConfidential. Don’t become intimidated; there are plenty of colleges where you are actually well above average.

I was getting quite afraid reading people saying “aw, I only got 2200”, etc.
Thanks :D

cough then don’t go to the Ivy forums cough

That score would put you in the top 3% at my school.

^^Hahaha…ditto

Haha…That makes me feel a bit better, but I think I am still going to be forced to retake it by my dad…I just hope I do a bit better, and it is worth it.
:P

oh my godd you are not going to get into a good college. a 1740!!!
i dont think your even going to get into party school

what are your individual scores to get an 1740?
