I had a 4.0, but Calculus over a 6 week session is kicking my butt. Looks like my final GPA is going to be around a 3.7 or 3.8. I was planning to apply to Ivies as a transfer student but I guess I’ve ruined my chances. Can I still apply to other schools like NYU?
Why don’t you apply to Ivies and see if they will accept you. It is better to try and find out instead of “what ifs”.
I’m a Comp Sci major transferring to U of Alabama. My GPA is lower than yours but from what I’ve heard they only weigh out the difficulty of your overall courses . If you’re just short of getting admitted into your program they look at the general courses you take and see how you do. I doubt the B hurts. My friend was at Ohio St engineering and was .02 of getting into the program and he petitioned and they decided he did good enough in his general engineering courses and let him in.
