How bad is my GPA

<p>I’m a Sophmore in High School, and I go to a decently well known boarding school in Mass. That is known for being extremely difficult. However, as a result of that, my GPA is low. Very low. 3.15 low. Here are the places I would like to apply to, however, I’m just not sure at this point. How much better would I have to do junior/senior year to get into these schools with such bad grades sophmore year? </p>

<p>If you can bring up your GPA to a 3.5, which is entirely possible by taking AP/IB classes and doing well in them, then you can get into most of those schools. George Washington and American U might want to see a little more though, so don’t think you can get into those unless you have something else like great ECs and high test scores 2100+ on SAT, 32 on ACT.</p>
