Do GSI report you if they see you using a photocopied lab book? How likely is it to get caught for photocopying copyrighted materials?

GSI’s don’t care and have no reason to care about copyrighted material. The only way you can even be convicted of copyright infringement is if you either post it on the web or openly try to sell large quantities of it.

you’re using it privately, not selling it for monetary gain. i printed my entire physics 7b workbook and my GSI didn’t even care.

I discussed with my Physics GSI about it. They don’t recommend it, but they won’t hold you against it. It bothers them, but it won’t affect your grade…

where can you go to photocopy a lab notebook or textbook? i don’t know of any place that will do this service for you

copying 400 pages will be a pain in the ass too

You can scan it and print them out…
