I just went back over my records and I had a 3.75 in grade 10 and 3.82 in grade 9. That is a drop in a way. I had two Bs both years but had 2 more electives in grade 9! How detrimental is this towards a good application? I have 4.00 in 11 and 12 but i was just wondering how much they look at 9 and 10. Also, my school has the urge to send in my middle school last year application, which was a 2.81 because I did not do shit… I thought it would not matter. How does this affect me?
Admission officers should not take middle school courses into considering your acceptance, however looking at them may give them a pretense about your work ethic. To be safe make sure your gc doesn’t combine them on your transcript. 9th grade is looked at the least , but it is still important. In your case don’t worry about it at all. Your gpa drop isn’t huge and for the important years 10,11,12 you maintained a high gpa cumulative.
