General Chemistry I w/ lab- A
Calculus II- A
Microeconomics- A
Philosophy- B+
Intro. to Russian and East European Affairs- B

I know I am only through one semester, but I am very worried about that flat B. It really dragged down my GPA to a 3.68 which is not good enough.

…

You’ll be okay, it was only your first semester. Chill out, and get straight A’s from now on.

Your first semester was so bad it makes Stalin look like a great guy.

That was a joke, by the way.

For med school, coursework GPA is divided into science/math and non-science. Your B average is in the non-science and you received a “A” in the course that will be considered important for med admissions. Keep studying and you’ll do fine.
