How badly do writeups affect transferring?

<p>Hi I’m an Emory sophomore (will be anyway) and I’m possibly beng forced to transfer for financial reasons…</p>

<p>I’m looking to go to a lower school for scholarship/cheaper tuition because Emory gave me horrible aid. </p>

<p>The thing is, my GPA is only 3.1 and I have a writeup on my record for drinking in the dorms. How badly will this affect me?</p>
