<p>Being an idiot, I didn’t file my CSS profile until a couple weeks after the 15th of February so the Fin Aid Application complete late. How badly will it hurt my package?</p>
<p>I’ve heard that they tend to favor URM in the packages, and I am an URM, so does that mean it won’t hurt me too badly? I honestly didn’t even thin I would be accepted, or I would have done the Financial aid a long time ago. I hope I don’t miss this opportunity because of my stupidity.</p>

<p>Generally it depends on where they were in the process of allocation, if all the $$ was allocated ( and CMU does not give much) they will not go back and reduce others aid to make yours happen, especially sicne they may have thought they could offer other URM acceptance without need to find $$</p>
<p>I only sent in half my FA stuff and still was accepted. So, I would imagine it wouldn’t hurt.</p>

<p>I was actually talking about the financial aid package itself, not the decision. I got my acceptance priority mail a couple days ago.</p>
