How detrimental to my application is the fact that I have received a total of 8 B’s/B+'s?(The other 17 grades are A-s/A’s.)

I have taken the most rigorous courses that I’m permitted to take.

Oh, and I’m aiming for top schools… I keep the motto in mind, “Shoot for the moon. You might land among the stars.” :)

It certainly ain’t gonna help–sounds like about a 3.6 uw GPA. Just make sure you have a range of safety/match/reach schools along with the moon. You don’t want to fizzle on the launch pad.

hey greenGeek93, I’m in the same situation as you- 3.6. Not applying to the Ivies, but schools like CMU, Obelin, and W&M. Do you have any “hooks” to your application? Any special, unique talents or interesting EC’s? In our situation, we cant let the numbers talk for us- we have to emphasize things that make us stand out.

yeah, 8 B’s won’t help, but if you compensate in other areas, maybe they wont hurt either.
