How best to save money for boarding school?

Hello - I’m wondering if parents out there have any advice on how to save for BS?

My son is now entering 4th grade. So I have about 6 years left to save up some money to put away in case we decide to send our son to BS. I’ve put a sizeable amount of money already away into my state’s 529 plan but was dismayed to learn that this money could not be used for secondary school expenses.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on investment vehicles?

I’ve looked into Coverdell accounts, but I make over the AGI income limit. I’ve also thought about UGMA/UTMA accounts.

Please let me know what other parents have done in this situation.

Thanks

Pay for guitar lessons for your child, and then he/she can be in a rock band and not need education!

I think this would be a good place to start: [Financing an Independent School Education](http://www.nais.org/parents/index.cfm?itemnumber=149257).
