How big is the benefit to take the SAT II's when you finish your course on it?

School ends in June, I have exams the week before the weekend of the June SAT test date (so I’d be prepping for 2 of my SAT II subjects but also 5 other courses that are unrelated to my tests). I’m pretty busy right now so I don’t have a ton of time to study for my SAT II’s. I’ll have a lot of time over the summer, so should I study extensively over the summer and take it at the beginning of the next school year rather than take it when I finish the course? I am the type of person that needs to study for tests and cant just get an 800 on pure knowledge.

Hei, my advice is not to rush into the SAT II. And leave them for the autumn. I am saying this, because I did it in that way. I will spend the summer preparing for Biology and MAths IIC :)

The benefit of taking it right away is that the material is still fresh in your head. Is there a lot of overlap between the material for your school exams and for the SATII? If there is, then it’d probably be best to take the tests in June, as you’re studying the material anyway; if there’s a significant amount of material covered only on the SATII, then perhaps it would be best to wait.

I have to say, people here must be very motivated…I originally planned to study over the summer, but only cracked my books open maybe twice during the two months :P
