<p>I am going to try and transfer into CS from Biochemistry as a Freshman. I know all the requirements ( e.g. 3.5 gpa) but should I instead go to UCI where I have been accepted as a CS major? Or is UCLA worth the risk?</p>
<p>The amount of risk depends on the person, and no one here knows how well you’ll do, so no one can estimate your risk. For reference, a 3.5 for engineers is maybe top 30-40%. UCLA’s CS program is significantly better than UCI’s, and people in UCLA’s CS department have access to lots of opportunities.</p>
