How can I best cope with this?

I’ve been suffering from a skin condition for the last four semesters, which causes redness and hair loss. It affects my eyebrows among other areas of which I’m really concerned (and thus I experience hair loss in my eyebrows). Thus far, my eyebrows have seriously thinned and are no where bushy like they were at one point in time, before this condition. The best way to treat affected areas is to shave off all hair so as to prevent accumulation of dirt, dead skin cells, etc that attributes to the inflammation.

So far, I haven’t found a way to prevent and reduce inflammation in my eyebrow areas. I’m considering shaving my eyebrows off, but I’m afraid of the consequences… the weird looks people will give me, and what have you.

I don’t know what to do. But I’m gravitating toward just doing it, because I’m tired of trying. I’m sick of my eyebrows falling out and everything else that’s a symptom of this condition. Shaving my eyebrows off would definitely help me treat this condition better and stop worrying about my eyebrows falling out…because I won’t have any.

What do you think?

Shave em and draw some eye-brows back in with one of those pencils like how women do it.

I’d ask the doctor who diagnosed your condition what other people have done to reduce symptoms in similar cases, particularly with respect to your concern about your eyebrows. The doc should be able to give good suggestions, including any ointments or medications that may be helpful. Good luck!
