I am enrolled full time at USC at the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences. I have had a terrible semester in spring 2007. I was a spring admit and throughout that term I had been on a mental depression. My performance was on an all-time low. I had to drop out of the courses and I became a part-time student with less than 12 units at hand (International students like me are supposed to take number of units upward of 12). Eventually at the end of the semester I was held under AP (Academic Probation). I went back home and had made a firm decision that I won’t come back to SC and instead transfer to some other school in the UK. At home again, in the month of May (later weeks) I got infected with a deadly kind of a liver disease (certain kind of Hepatitis). The whole summer went on recuperating my mental health and also my physical health. I again thought that transferring and re adjusting to a new school (and in my case especially, a new country) might not be a cake walk thing. So somehow compromising I came back to USC. My GPA at the end of fall 2007 was a 2.6. Thankfully I was out from probation. Now this term the real problem I am facing is that I want to do Business Administration so I want to get into Marshall. Currently I’m Economics which I do not like. I wanted to know from you guys that-

A) how can I convince the admission counselors at Marshall (the business school at USC) that the GPAs of my previous semesters were not the correct indicative my true academic potential? The reason being that in order to transfer into Marshall as an internal major applicant, a student must maintain overall USC GPA of 3.0 and upward.
Now I am trying my level best to get good grades this semester. If I can get straight A’s in all the courses I am enrolled in then I can probably bring my cumulative to a 3.0.
B) Obviously this is not an easy task. But neither is it highly unlikely; it’s quite possible. Can you guys tell me how much do I need to put in everyday in order to get straight A’s in all the classes I am enrolled in this semester? I know it’s not very late even now.
- I have taken one Business Statistics Class
- Accounting
- 2 GE’s

Hope to hear from you guys something!

Thank you.
