How can I demonstrate dedication in my extracurriculars?

<p>I’m a freshman undergraduate and I’m planning to go to med school. I live in Houston, so I have plenty of options in terms of finding clinical experience, but am not sure about what to choose. When adcoms are looking at the extracurriculars, what in particular about clinical experience are they looking for? How long should I do it for, how many days a week? If I do too many different things for a short period of time, will they think that I’m just trying to build up a laundry list of things to put on my application?</p>
