How can I dissolve paper?

No drain cleaners please!

You can burn it easily over the stove or with a match/lighter, but that doesn’t really answer your question

put it in sea water for a week.

Cut it up so fine that it is like a powder, put it in hot water, and stir. Makes a refreshing drink.

How do you cut paper into a powder?

Put it in some HCL.

leave it outside and after a while it will disappear.

…why do you need to dissolve paper? Where did you get it stuck?

hahaha… I was looking for a cruel and unusual way to destroy my sat prep books :P

I burnt all my calculus notes at the end of last year.
felt damn good.

I’m going to throw my Blue book out of our balcony on the 8th floor. I wonder if it’ll cause an accident.

Cruel and Unusual way to destroy SAT prep books…!
Let me know after you find out the most cruel and unusual way to destroy SAT prep books! I’d like to try it myself. :)

H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) slowly eats away at paper - turns it brown and crumbly as it evaporates.

Take it to a firing range, shoot it to pieces, then use whats left over as Molotov wicks. Decently spectacular.

The OP should specify the circumstances. If the paper’s down the drain, using certain chemicals, or burning/shooting/shredding/drilling/bashing/vaporizing or any of the other above suggestions is not such a good idea.

Although I did get good advice on getting a disgusting perfumey smell out of an SAT prep book once from CC.

why not just put it in the oven on the highest temperature it can take? then turn the oven light on and enjoy the spectacle of your SAT prep books as they burn and eventually become a pile of ashes.

I can’t burn it because my fire detector reacts to anything more than two matches. :frowning: :frowning: :(

Why can’t you do it outside? Make a bonfire.

strap it to a can of gun powder.

be environmentally friendly and recycle

hahaha
I can’t burn it outside because I live in a very urban setting. :(
