How can I gain exposure to schools?

Hello,
I am a rising senior trying to get into the Ivy’s for football. This past season I started at quarterback. I am 6’3" 195 lbs and I run a 4.8 in the 40 yard dash. My GPA is a 4.30 (max 4.48) weighted and 3.93 unweighted. My ACT is 32 and SAT is 2010. I know it is very difficult to get into an Ivy but I want to know how to increase my chances whether it be academically or athletically. Thanks.

Your academics are in range to be an Ivy recruit. You’re going to have to demonstrate legitimate D1 football talent, though. Start with an email to the coaches and make sure you have some game films up on Vimeo or YouTube.
Any all-conference, all-state, etc. accolades should be included. Good luck!

Thank you! I was first team all-conference.

Go to the Harvard football camp in June and prove you belong on their field.

I was planning on it, thanks. Do you know what goes on there? Is it like a 40, vert, and shuttle workout?

Send an email to every coach of each school you want to consider on your list…hopefully it is a wide net/big list beyond HYP
Include in the email
-a scanned copy of your current transcript showing rigor and grades etc,
-a scanned copy of your SATs.
-Include a sports stat sheet. Also a short resume with your ECs listed.
Be sure to include a short letter of introduction. PROOFREAD.

Or fax the whole package to EACH recruiting coach.

Go to the NCAA clearing house and open a profile. Send your scores there as well.

You also need 2 SAT2s so if you haven’t done that–do it. SAT2s are only 1 hr and you can sit for 3 on one day–so choose your 3 strongest subjects and see which are best for submission.

Think about who of your teachers you will need letters of rec from and speak to them about when will be the best time to get those. They may ask you for a resume etc to help with the letters–depending on how large your school grad class etc

Speak to your coaches about recruiting and what you should be doing now.
