I’m currently a freshman at the best high school in Illinois, and my dream school is Yale. I wanted to know what exactly I need to do to get in and how the competition might look when I apply in 3 years. I am currently involved in Model UN, our school’s literary magazine and Volleyball. I have a 4.7 weighted GPA and a 3.9 un-weighted GPA. I plan to join National Honor Society, English Honor Society, the school newspaper, student council, and continue Model UN, the lit magazine, and volleyball all 4 years. I also plan on taking accelerated AP level classes in my sophomore, junior, and senior years, and I am currently taking all honors classes. I am also involved in my local community center where I volunteer and work with young children. I plan on doing more leadership and service projects throughout my high school career. How do my chances look? Any advice on how to really make my application standout? Thank you so much for reading.
