How can I get to know more about MIT

before my interview? I live in CA, and I don’t think I’ll have the time to actually go to Boston…a presentation perhaps?

I live in San Jose California.

just flying through the MIT website is sufficient :).
Thats what I did before my interview and I brought out stuff about MIT that my interviewer didn’t know…

talk about your interest in improving sustainable and renewable energy sources & why. they’ll love you for that

^bs…that sounds rather fake. i doubt a 17 yr old would think that far.

I like the web surfing…anymore ways to get to know MIT better? I’d really like to go to a presentation…

Presentations are good, but on the whole I found them unhelpful; they give you the stats about a school, but that’s not really what matters, is it? I would suggest going to [MIT Admissions](http://www.mitadmissions.org) and reading the student blogs. Not only are they a great way to learn more about MIT, they’ll also help you to decide if MIT is the right place for you. I find they portray MIT student life and culture pretty accurately, as a whole.
