How can I improve my chances at transferring?

Hello I’m currently a freshman and I was planning on transferring to NYU CAS, but I’ve been told that I’m considered to be below average for the students that apply there (mostly because of my SAT Score). I really want to come to this school (or Tanden) and I’ve been wondering if re-taking my SAT would be worth it, or whether I should just focus on my grades in this semester, which it more important?

And AFAIK colleges will not accept an SAT taken in college because it is a test designed for HSers. You would be best off waiting for another year and working on your grades to make the score issue go away.
