Hello, I’m new to this whole College Confidential thing. I recently took the SAT test, and am taking the ACT test in a few weeks. After I finished the whole 7-hour test, I felt confident as that I did exceptional, for I did my very best, read carefully, scanned the questions I knew and felt I excelled. At least I didn’t fall asleep like many of my classmates did (smh). Our scores got posted very soon after on the CollegeBoard website. Initially looking at my scores, I was proud of myself and thought my scores were often to be topped. However, after research of many Ivy League School’s average SAT admission scores, I felt less confident about my scores. They read:

Critical Reading: 500
Math: 600
Writing: 520

The total score was 1620. Many of the big and famous-for-success schools minimums were at least 2000. Is there any way I can realistically break the 2000s on the SAT with studying and book hours? I’m not sure want I want to major in, but I know I cant picture myself studying anything else but the sciences- Biology, Astrophysics, Anthropology, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Environmental Engineering, Global Human Studies etc. Science and the world around us is my passion, and not many other subjects capture my interest. Many of the top Science schools (Harvard, Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, etc.) have standards that exceed my averages. My GPA is about a 3.7.

Is there any way? Help is appreciated.
