How Can I improve my SAT score

Hey everyone,

I am taking the January SAT and I need some advise on improving my score.

However, I took the december SAT and got a 2030. Here is the breakdown:
780-Math
550-CR
700-Writing

Clearly, I know that I have to improve my CR. I want to bring that up to a 700, so it is close to my Writing and Math scores…

Any suggestions on how to improve that… What workbooks are helpful. Right now I am going through the Kaplan CR and the Barrons CR book… Any others that might be helpful.

You can easily take your writing score from 700 to the upper 700’s with some work. I would use Erica Meltzer’s workbooks for writing. As for CR, get Direct Hits (1+2), memorize every word from those books, and try to do 2-3 sections of CR from the Blue Book every day. Remember that every correct answer has evidence in the passage to support it. Good luck with your preparation.
