When I take practice tests at home, I usually get much lower scores than I would like. I am currently halfway done with the 1296 PR book, and I am then going to start the red book, and then after I have absolutely no clue what to do. What are the best books to buy so that I can really increase my score to a 33 or 34? I am going to do:

1) PR 1296
2) ACT Red Book
3) Barron’s 36 ( Is this too hard??)
4) Barron’s ACT 2009???
5) PR ACT Review 2009??

If 1296 is hard, try putting PR (5) at (2). You are probably used to the PR style of learning, so that is what I’d recommend. Then do the practice tests in the Red Book. If you want to try Barron’s, that’s fine. Just be prepared for some tough crap that probably wont be on the test. It helped me though. Hope this helps.

Well, really I would probably just leave Barron’s alone if you don’t want wasted time, because reading it entails learning a lot of things that will not show up on the test.
