well, i am new to this forum, everyone sounds professional XD

i will be a senior next year and i want to start on the college essays…how can i find out the promts for the college?

p.s. it’s a very dumb question but i really need help: is the personal statement the same as the college essays that everyone was taking about?

thx a lot

To find out the prompts/essay topics, you have to go check out the application on the specific college’s website or go check out the common application website.

A personal statement is a type of essay that colleges often ask for. It’s the type of essay where you talk more about you and your personality/character as opposed to the type of essay that asks “why do you want to go to _____ University?” And that wasn’t a dumb question. I didn’t know either until I started looking at applications online last year.
