It’s my sophomore year in college and i’m just curious, how can I pay for college. I’m 15 and don’t know how find a job, I would love to get scholarships but I don’t know what I would get them for or how they work, and I want to earn the money before it’s to late. Any help or advice?
Clarification: You are 15 and you are a Sophomore in College or in High School?
Your parents, Federal & your state government, your school.
And you - save your summer job earnings.
OP is a sophomore in HS per another thread.
OP, first in line to pay for college are your parents. Federal Aid can amount to a Pell Grant of ~$6K if your family is very low income, and a loan of $5500 for freshmen. Some states have in-state aid available like TAG or HOPE. Talk to your guidance counselor. The best aid comes from the colleges themselves. Some have a great endowment and pledge to “meet need”, others have good merit aid for high performers.

- Talk to your parents. Ask them how much they can afford per year for college.
- What are your grades/SAT scores? You don’t know yet. But if you are getting all A’s right now, then a merit scholarship maybe in your future. Look here http://automaticfulltuition.yolasite.com/ for full tuition scholarships.
If you are getting Bs and C’s, then perhaps Community College and then your State U is the path. - Look for low cost colleges…e.g., public colleges in your state
