How can I raise my SAT 300 points!!?

Hello

During sophomore and juniors years, I took the PSAT twice and scored in the 140s both times. I then took a Kaplan prep class which i feel really helped my knowledge of the SAT. I scored in the 1300s- 1500s on their practice tests. I recently took the June SAT and received a 1720. CR 520 M 640 W 560.
What can i do to boost my score to a 2000? Especially Critical Reading. What prep books and strategies do you suggest?

Thanks

For writing: Get a grammar book (I heard Erica Meltzers book is pretty good; even my English teacher recommended it, but I never used it myself), and do all the exercises. But dont just do them and move on. Learn from your mistakes and try to find a common pattern. For example, are you getting all the subject-verb disagreement questions wrong? If so, focus on those and practice a lot of those, since the SAT always tests SVD.

For math: Okay, so thats your highest. The blue book helped me a lot. Make sure you go back to the questions you got wrong and see why you got those wrong. Again, look for a pattern. Are you getting all the algebra questions right but the geometry questions wrong? I wrote down a few math formulas on a separate sheet of paper and memorized them the day before the test.

For reading: My least favorite section… My reading comp skills are terrible, so I memorized a lot of words (I mean a lot a lot) and reviewed them almost every day. Try starting with the College Boards official blue book. After you take the reading sections and score them, make flashcards of the words you didnt know or got wrong, and define them. And dont just copy the dictionary definition- rewrite the definitions so that you can understand them perfectly. My reading score is bad, but memorizing and reviewing vocab words from the blue book helped me a lot. On the actual tests, I always got either 2, 1, or none incorrectly on vocab. Im not the best person to ask for reading help though.

Good luck!
