How can one take the SAT, registering etc...

I think the ACT may not be a good fit for me, and was wondering about registering for the SAT, and differences of ACT and SAT ( things like that).

Well you have to make an account on collegeboard.com and then you can register for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests.

Here’s a good website pointing the main differences between the SAT and ACT.

Okay thanks

( Seen my first ACT score, wasn’t good… )

No problem, and some people are better at the SAT than the ACT. I actually don’t hate the SAT at all, I think it’s pretty easy to be honest. Just get The Official SAT Study Guide and read through the material and take every practice test. Make sure you are looking at answer solutions at the end of the test to see why you got it wrong so you don’t make that mistake again. You should do pretty well, you have the whole summer to study since the next test is in October.

Right, I think I should probably focus on taking the SAT. I will see how I do on the ACT, and if it’s not well I will consider taking the SAT this October. Meaning I won’t be able to apply to universities until I get my October score, do you know how long scores take?

I think they take around 3 weeks to come. I took the June 6 SAT Subject Tests and the scores are supposed to come out June 25th, it could take longer if something gets screwed up.
