How can this be?

ok, so when i applied to TCNJ I clicked “Biology-7 Year Medical Program” by mistake instead of regualr “Biology” as my intended major. SO I called the admissions office and they were like, “Unfortunately we can’t offer you admission to the 7 year medical program.” This made sense becuase you have to be in the top 10% of your class and have a 1400 SAT. Then she was like, “do you want to be considered for admissions as an open options school of science applicant?” So I was like ok.

Then I got accepted…

But in the letter they were like “we are still actively considering your application to the seven year medical program” How can this be? They legit told me that I couldn’t be admittted because I only have a 1300, and i didn’t want to be admitted to the 7 year program anyway…just the regular school of science!!! I was thinking maybe they made a mistake… but my guidance counselor said maybe they made an exception because I’m an URM… but they TOLD me they couldn’t offer me admission to the program…

Basically… W T F???

I had the same note on my acceptance letter.
I called admissions and they said it was just an error that got accidentally printed on a lot of acceptance letters.
They should’ve sent you an email explaining the situation.
