<p>Son called last night to ask that we send him is good suit and black shoes today. He is going to the Inauguration and also got invited to one of the balls. DC is at least 10 hours by train or bus so he said his friends are leaving on Friday and staying at one of the student’s home in Georgetown. Got a pass to the event and to a ball. Said he will only miss school on Wednesday since Monday is a holiday. Should be a memory of a lifetime. I am a little jealous.</p>
<p>My son will be volunteering at the inauguration with his Boy Scout Troop. We don’t know if he’ll be on the Capitol steps ushering people, or standing five miles away holding a sign that says, “Don’t Park Your Bus Here.”</p>
