<p>Are the classes difficult for freshman year? </p>
<p>Obviously you can say its what you put into it, but its clear that some courses and programs in universities are more harder than others.</p>

Apparently it sucks and the classes are basically jokes.
My friend says that the professors don’t know much and the discussions aren’t intellectual at all.</p>
<p>I did lsp freshmen year and am in CAS now - in my experience, lsp classes were pretty easy, but the humanities and social science classes I’ve taken in CAS have been just as easy. The classes I thought were hard and actually required some effort are in the math and science depts. But keep in mind humanities classes depend a lot on the professor, so if you get a hard professor in LSP obviously the class won’t be easy. But it’s pretty easy to keep a high gpa in LSP. my freshmen year my gpa was a 3.9 - it has gone down a lot since then haha :p</p>
<p>oh, and the professors generally knew what they were talking about; I mean they all have phD’s in the fields they’re teaching, it’s not like they’re standing up there confused lol</p>
