<p>It matters what the rest of the essay is like. Depending on that, the kind of ending you’r considering could be good or could be cliched.</p>
<p>If the modification shows cleverness and/or wit, and makes the phrase perfectly tailored to your essay, and if you haven’t used any other such phrases, and if it doesn’t look like you used the phrase just because you couldn’t think of anything else.</p>
