I’ve heard stories about Syracuse being really cold, but HOW MUCH?

Like right now (November) would people be wearing ten layers of clothing?

I live near syracuse in a suburb (close enough where we have the same weather), and I’m ok with a light sweatshirt or jacket. Some days I can even get away with a t-shirt and no coat. However, around thanksgiving is when it starts to get pretty cold and you would need a slightly heavier coat. Syracuse does get cold, but I think people really blow it out of proportion. Around Christmas is when you’ll need your layers…all the way until sometimes sometime in march.

Don’t worry about the cold. It’s the amount of snow that’s can be unbelievable! Last year, the snowfall totals were ridiculous.

Speaking of snow…

haha i would love to be in the snow!

It really depends on where you’re from. If you’re not used to anything below 40 or 50, then you’ll be in trouble.

I went from FL High School to SU.

That said, you get used to the cold gradually. Layers, sweats, waterproof and warm boots…you’ll live.

40 becomes a Spring day.
