How common is it for patent attorneys to make their own patents?

It seems like if anyone would have an advantage at getting rich off of an invention it would be a patent attorney. They have experience with all sorts of innovative ideas. Over time, they would get a sense of what kinds of inventions make millions and which ones don’t, right?

A few patent attorneys are also inventors; most aren’t. As far as knowing what kinds of inventions make millions and what don’t, (a) nobody knows that for certain and (b) you need a good business sense, as opoosed to a knowledge of patent law, to be able to evaluate that.
