I’m an international student majoring in chem e, and the best I can do is get a 3.6ish GPA by the end of my third year, before I apply for grad school.

I realize that research and recommendations carry more weight in the application, and I’m focusing on those this year. But I would like to know where my GPA stands amongst other applicants. Most of my B’s came from freshmen year and being stupid by overloading myself with classes. Does my GPA significantly hinder my chances at getting into the good schools?

Sometime this month, I will talk to my adviser about grad school. But for now, I would just like a little insight
