<p>If you are referring to Harvard SSP. I listened to the Open House Video and the Director said that about 1600~1700 kids apply and they take about 1000 kids.</p>
<p>so they basically takes every one who actually put some effort into their application</p>
<p>I guess you can put it that way, but I do know a couple of people who had gotten rejected before.</p>
<p>I am going to ssp this summer as a rising junior, and I believe that although a little more than half of the students who apply to the program are accepted, the applicant pool is generally very qualified. You have to be a motivated, hard working, and intelligent person if you want to take two college courses at Harvard over the summer, a time when most students would make an extra effort to avoid looking at a textbook.</p>
