How could i get 1800+ on SAT

i need advice or tips to get 1800+on SAT

First, study at least 500 vocabs, then move forward to math. For writing, practice makes perfect.

Get the official collegeboard study guide 2nd edition and do tests out of there and review all the questions using their online feature with explanations for every question.

Most people say the blue book (Collegeboard’s official study guide) is all you need, and I think it will be enough for you since you’re not aiming for 2300+ like everyone else here, haha. Oh, if you’re not good with vocab, you may want to consider getting the Direct Hits vocabulary books off Amazon, too. Check the stickies on this forum; you’ll learn what you need to.

The more vocabulary words you know for CR, the better. Find a list and try to learn at least 600 words before the exam. For math, learn the concepts you need to know and do some practice questions. Writing is easy as long as you know grammar and can write a good essay.

Buy Direct Hits both versions.

I just bought the second edition blue book today.

Will Barron’s 2009 SAT + New Blue Book = 1900+ with practices?

Barron’s 2009 + BB with efficient studying should be more than enough for a 2250, no matter where you are.

Practice tests. Perform them under the most realistic environment as possible.
I also recommend “Princeton Review 2010 SAT” to learn how to tackle different problems, and use different strategies.
A really interesting theory they cover in that book is the “Joe Bloggs Theory”. They use it in the sense that Joe Bloggs is the average test taker, and they teach you how to become a better test taker through that principle.

^^^
In some cases, their methods don’t work. For example, they say to never pick a number that is in the math problem as the answer. However, this does not work for many situations…

I like your username, lol.

Is that true? I’ve never taken the SAT, just read the prep book, so I don’t know. It seemed pretty logical to me, but I guess there are special circumstances to any theories.
