So, I wanted to study anthropology (social and biological) and neuroscience as joint concentration, but then I figured out that Harvard only has two separated anthropology courses. Anthropology means social anthropology and biological anthropology is encompassed within the concentration in Human Evolutionary Biology. Neurobiology is third concentration. Is there still a possibility to study all of the above in some way with some joint concentration thing or secondary field?

Neuroscience is a Harvard Medical School field, not an undergraduate concentration. See: [Fields of Concentration Handbook for Students 2010-2011](http://isites.harvard.edu/icb/icb.do?keyword=k69286&tabgroupid=icb.tabgroup106995)

But, your question sounds like a perfect opportunity to email a department chair and ask the question. Harvard faculty are very responsive to these kinds of inquires from prospective students, and who knows where the conversation will go. Email away!

You might look at anthropology with the “Mind, Brain, Behavior” track, which is a separate “track” that can be added to many concentrations. I don’t know much about it, but it might give you another place to start looking things up.

^^Neuroscience/neurobiology is definitely an undergraduate concentration

I feel like the courses you end up taking matter more in the long run than the specific concentration you decide to let yourself fall under, but if you’re particular about the name, here are some options:

You can try a concentration in anthropology with a secondary in neurobio, a neurobiology concentration with a secondary in anthropology, a joint concentration of both, or neurobiology with the MBB honors track exultationsy pointed out… As far as I remember anthropology does not participate in the the MBB track, but for any concentration you can do a secondary in MBB. Once you begin to take classes in each department, you’ll get a better sense of which cluster of classes appeals to you more.
